My background is in neuropsychology. I have worked as a case manager and disability advocate for almost 20 years. I began my career working as a member of the psychology team in residential brain injury rehabilitation and in community settings. I have worked in mental health settings, children’s homes, mother and baby units and in transitional living units for children leaving care. I began working as a pre-liability case manager I 2010 and have worked for a number of law firms. I set up the welfare department within the Court of Protection team at Irwin Mitchell in 2015. During the Iraq and Afghani wars I worked with injured military personnel and military welfare organisations. Later, I worked closely with the police. My expertise is working with serious injured clients, those who have sustained life changing injuries. I help them to access and maximise their statutory entitlement to welfare benefits and services.I am passionate about neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation, this includes positive psychology, motivation, aids and adaptations, and SMART technology. I have worked extensively with people with brain injury, spinal cord injury and mass orthopaedic injuries.
