Nova Care Consultants has been the trusted partner for complex care and capacity matters since 2017, delivering exceptional outcomes when expertise matters most. Our team has combined over 80 years of experience in managing services within the NHS and Local Authorities. We're a multidisciplinary team of social workers, nurses and occupational therapists who have been nationally recognised three times! We won the Social Worker of the Year Awards in 2017 and again won the Lawyer Monthly Expert Witness Awards in 2019, and we also took a finalist gong in the UK Business Excellence Awards in 2022. We've spoken at conferences, lectured at universities and been recognised by several judges in both the Court of Protection and First-Tier Tribunals (Mental Health). We combine proven expertise with the practical, results-focused service that solicitors can rely on. What is your core service offer?
We can assist legal and financial professionals with care, capacity, social work, occupational therapy and expert witness services. Whether you're looking for a COP3 capacity report, a PA14 Probate Medical Certificate, or someone to service a COP14 PADep form, our team is ready to respond. We also have a selection of expert witnesses who are Bond Solon trained to undertake more complex or contentious work, such as litigation capacity reports, s21A or Rule 1.2 challenges via the Court of Protection, Section 117 Aftercare and NHS Continuing Healthcare appeals. All our experts are trained to postgraduate level and are either BIAs or AMHPs.
Where are you based?
We're in Cardiff, Dorset, Hampshire, Herefordshire, London, Nottinghamshire and York. So we're never more than a few hours from 98% of England and Wales. Our North office is scheduled to open in late 2025, and our head office is based in Hampshire.

Our team is independently selected by our Founder for their skills, expertise and knowledge. All our registered professionals are 7+ years post-qualified with management or leadership experience in the NHS or Local Authority. While leadership and management skills aren't essential for independent practice, we believe they enhance the service we can offer you and your clients – we truly provide the expert insight that influences positive outcomes.
Ready to instruct us?
We're ready to take your instructions 7 days a week. We try to ensure that at least one consultant is office-based for the whole day. However, our team of call takers works 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on weekends and Bank Holidays.
