Glen is a Legal Director in the Private Client Advisory Team at Birketts. Glen has over 25 years’ experience specialising in private client work in Kent and the South East, the majority specialising in the field of vulnerable clients and their families (learning and physical disabilities, mental health, life limiting conditions, traumatic injuries and later life matters). His particular area of expertise is dealing with Court of Protection work, acting as a professional Trustee, Deputy or Attorney (for approximately 100 clients) looking after the property and financial affairs of those individuals who lack mental capacity.  Glen also acts as a health and welfare deputy. Glen advises vulnerable clients and their families about the specific issues involved when preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, and flagging issues relating to Inheritance Tax.  He conducts applications to the Court of Protection in relation to trusts, statutory wills, and statutory gifts (including Deeds of Variation) for a full range of clients including statutory gifts measured in millions of pounds.  He also advises on the duties of statutory services in relation to funding care and the protection of assets. He is based in the Sevenoaks office
