Both Sameena Munir (Kingsley Napley) and Leanne Gibson (Ramsdens Solicitors LLP) bring a wealth of Deputyship and Court of Protection experience, and we’re excited to have them join us as we enter an exciting period at the Professional Deputies Forum.
Leanne is a Solicitor in the Court of Protection team at Ramsdens Solicitors. Following her roles as Paralegal and Trainee Solicitor, Leanne chose to qualify in Court of Protection in 2023.
Leanne specialises in Deputyship management for elderly and vulnerable adults. She also specialises in Court of Protection applications including, but not limited to, ordinary Deputyship applications and specific issue applications such as obtaining authority to deal with property.
Leanne often gets involved in training opportunities and enjoys sharing her Court of Protection knowledge with institutions that are involved in supporting our clients.
Leanne also supports our elderly community through her role as a Trustee at Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees.
Sameena provides support to property and financial affairs Deputies, with a particular specialism in cerebral palsy and severe brain injury cases.
She works closely with clients who lack capacity, preparing statutory will and gift applications to the Court of Protection and creating personal injury trusts. Sameena is skilled at all aspects of Court of Protection work and also advises on lasting powers of attorney and probate matters.
Her clients include people who lack capacity, high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs. She often advises clients in difficult and emotional times and they value her professional and sensitive approach.
