As we move towards the launch of our brand new Health & Welfare PDF Membership, we are also also excited to announce our growing H&W Committee has welcomed three new members: Rosie Campbell, Lucy-Anne Peel, and Eilish Ferry-Kennington.
Rosie, Lucy-Anne, and Eilish bring a wealth of Deputyship and Court of Protection experience, and we look forward to working with them over the coming months.
Meet Rosie Campbell – Rook Irwin Sweeney LLP
Rosie is an Associate Solicitor with Rook Irwin Sweeney specialising in public law and human rights, health and social care, and welfare cases in the Court of Protection.
She has acted on behalf of adults who lack mental capacity, as well as their family members.
Meet Eilish Ferry-Kennington – EMG Solicitors
Eilish is a Director and Solicitor in the Court of Protection team at EMG Solicitors, and team leader for its COP Health and Welfare Department. She specialises in cases where individuals lack the mental capacity to make decisions about either health and welfare or property and finance matters, and brings experience of representing incapacitated and vulnerable adults and their family members.
Meet Lucy-Anne Peel – Biscoes Solicitors
Lucy-Anne is a Solicitor at Biscoes specialising in Adult Social Care including Court of Protection and Community Care. Prior to joining Biscoes, Lucy-Anne spent twelve years working within a local authority legal team and becoming the Principal Solicitor for Adult Social Care.
“Given the Supreme Court’s latest decision, the recent Court of Appeal transparency decision in Re AB, and the pending appeal in Townsend, to name but a few things, it’s a busy old time in health and welfare COP work. It’s great timing, therefore, to be developing the health and welfare offering for members of The Professional Deputies Forum!
The new H&W sub-committee is taking shape nicely and PDF members will benefit immensely from the broad expertise of James Pantling-Skeet, and our newest recruits Rosie Campbell, Lucy-Anne Peel and Eilish Ferry-Kennington ”
– Zena Bolwig (PDF H&W Committee Chair)
